How to Get to Sedbergh In the past, Sedbergh is very remote and could be accessed only through foot walks on its rolling hills and forest. The construction of a railway in mid 1800’s made the town easily accessible thus contributing to its boom. Today, the railways leading to Sedbergh has been closed but you can traverse its hilly and winding narrow roads by car to get to the town. The center of the town is lined with several shops selling different products foremost of them are books. The retail market in Sedbergh is quite robust as many manufacturing sites are located nearby. There is a modern air in these bistros because Sedbergh has many students boarding at a nearby coed school.
