Little Langdale

If you want a quiet holiday with rugged wilderness and an unspoilt natural landscape, the small friendly valley village of Little Langdale is a perfect escape. The Langdale Pikes are famous for their rocky outcrops and dazzling vistas. With plenty of fresh air and tranquillity, Little Langdale is an ideal base to explore the Fells of the Lake District as well as the spectacular lakes.
Outdoor activities in Little Langdale include mountain biking in Grizedale Forest, gorge scrambling and rock climbing. If tackling the rugged Lakeland Fells, there are a number of mountain instructors who can take you walking, scrambling and climbing. You can rest assured that you will be climbing and scrambling like an experienced mountaineer in next to no time! Should the weather not be in your favour for a rugged climb outdoors, no worries as there are two indoor climbing walls nearby in Kendal and Keswick for you to undertake and practice your newly acquired skills!
You may like to enjoy a variety of water sports on Lake Windermere and Coniston, including sailing and canoeing or if it’s warm enough take a dip. Is anyone up for a relaxing lake cruise? Another fun day out for the family is a visit to a working sheep farm in the Duddon Valley.
