Many of the cottages in Grizebeck are set in the beautiful unspoilt landscape. You can visit the remains of stone hut circles dating from the Bronze Age. Coniston is 20 minutes drive, while Windermere is just 25 minutes away if you want to take part in Lakeland activities.
Grizebeck is ideally based for visiting a variety of the Lake District attractions including the South Lakes Animal Park near Dalton, Dalton Castle, Furness Abbey, Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass Railway and of course do have a picnic in the National Park. For some tasty fresh produce a visit to Ulverston on market day is an absolute must.
Treat yourself to a traditional English breakfast and then explore some of the local walks in the area ranging from woodland walks and fell walks. There is also some local fishing spots and a number of routes for both cycling and mountain biking.
