Greystoke

Greystoke is just a few miles from Penrith in the North-West of England, on the edge of the Lake District. One of its most famous attractions for visitors, apart from the obvious water sports, is Greystone Castle which was built in the 14th century by the Greystocks, from whom the place takes its name. Not to be confused with Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes!You could be mistaken if you head out for some adventuresome camping and caravanning or make a group booking with Greystoke Adventures which is only about 110km from JHB and 80km from Kroonstad, so you can slip away for a weekend of adrenalin pumping fun by offering a variety of adventure. Why not make it a week, or two?
Greystone offers lots of opportunity for off road driving, mountain sports and country pursuits. If you have a wedding or formal function; Greystone is also perfect with stunning views of the mountains of the Lake District and the North Pennines in the background. If you need assistance with planning your function, in the Lake District there are clothing hire, florists, photographers, Toast Masters, Wedding Cake and Wedding Car Hire companies ready to be of service. Obviously in Greystone there are many beautiful venues to host the grandest of functions or even an intimate and secluded dinner for two. There are also plenty of Bed & Breakfast near to and around Greystoke, or try a self-catering apartment and enjoy a glass of your favorite wine from the Lake District Wine Merchants.
