Garsdale
If you are a regular visitor to Garsdale or a local to the area, then you will already know that this narrow spectacular valley has some of the most beautiful walking country in England. Garsdale is located in Northern England, situated on the Pennines; between Baugh Fell and Rise Hill. The river Clough runs through Garsdale, it is mainly rocky and shallow but does have the occasional pool which is large enough to swim in. Garsdale is a relaxing and friendly setting for your next holiday destination. Settle Carlisle Railway passes straight through Garsdale with several local stations, making getting around the district a breeze. At the Western end of Garsdale is the market town of Sedbergh and Howgill Fells with Garsdale Head in the east. The views from Longstone Fell are absolutely fantastic. Garsdale has a host of modern bed and breakfast accommodation options as well as camping and caravanning, farm accommodation, apartments and boutique cottages just to name a few. Garsdale accommodation caters for any budget or style. Do enjoy scenic and quaint Garsdale; which really is a tiny but pretty hamlet with just a church and two chapels, but no pub! Many of the local places to stay however serve great meals as well as a drop or two of ale; or if you go with a self-catering option there is lots of fresh local produce with which to cook up a storm to satisfy any appetite. No matter how long you choose to stay in Garsdale, the locals will certainly make you feel most welcome.
