Esthwaite Water is a varied fishery with deep basins and shallow bays. It is a glacial lake set in the Silurian hills of the Lake District. The lake is stocked weekly during the season.
During the winter it is business as usual at Esthwaite, not only with some quality winter trout fishing in the Lake District, but also the best pike fishing on offer in the North of England. The fishery record is 39lb 8oz and every winter numerous 20lb+ fish are landed with a thirty pound plus leviathan a distinct possibility.
From November 1st to February 28th, general Lake District coarse fishing tickets are available for £6.50. You can fish for our specimen Roach, Rudd and Perch. All of which grow to over 3lbs.
Lake District Fly fishing tuition is available as a full day package, including a 2.5 hour tuition session which begins with how to choose a rod, reel, fly line and leaders.
