Dent
Dent is a beautiful destination for those wishing to escape their busy and hectic lifestyles. The picturesque area offers breath-taking views of the Lake District’s fells; which during winter months are snow-capped works of art. Summer months for those that visit the village of Dent are filled with days of walking and cycling through green valleys with views of gorgeous foliage and flowers. The city is home to many mid-century cottages and country homes; many of which are newly converted public houses for those wishing to stay overnight. The area is home to Dent Ale, a popular drink of choice for those in the area and those that stop in for visits. Many of the local pubs serve up their Dent Ale with daily fresh catches available throughout the area at the rivers edge. The cobblestone streets and color washed homes that line the streets of Dent are spectacular and create the perfect atmosphere for a day of relaxing and enjoying nature. As well, the Dales path runs along the outskirts of Dent, creating the perfect landscape for afternoon walks and picnics. For those that enjoy cycling; the cycle way passes through the valley of Dent, as well. There is very little traffic and tourist in the town of Dent; for those that prefer calm and quiet- the village has much to offer. However, the town does sit between other busier cities in the Cumbria district; allowing for visitors the proximity to more adventure at only a short distance away.
