Blawith
Rather than a village, Blawith is a collection of farms and cottages along the road. The river Crake is within close distance with an estate and a prehistoric settlement to the northwest. The name “Blawith” means wolf and was so-named because of the fact the animal was common to the area. Blawith is located just beyond the tip of Coniston Water. Another area of England that is rich in nature, visitors cannot help but enjoy walking and photographing all the pleasures of the area.
You will find several self-catering facilities in Blawith, some along the water. With so much beauty in which to partake, you want to spend as much time as possible in Blawith. You can stay in the cottage along the lake or a mobile home, but whichever you choose, you may want to choose something close to the water and embark in some boating, fishing or both. Depending on the time of the year, you may even want to participate in some hiking or just walking along some trails. Bicycling is a good activity for the roads in Blawith as well.
Blawith is also a good place for camping. You can choose from mobile homes or you may wish to find a campground and “rough it” in the outdoors with a tent and campfire. It doesn’t matter how you choose to do it; the important thing is to take the time to relax and enjoy the great outdoors in some of the best parts of England and maybe the world.
