Description

The Black Bull Inn and Hotel was built around 400 years ago, about the time of the Spanish armada, as a coaching Inn providing accomodation for both travellers, coachmen and hourses. The Inn is situated in the pictureque village of Coniston, beside the beck and in the shadow of the 'Old Man' mountain. The Big Toe of the Old Man is a large piece of stone set in the wall of the Black Bull resisdents lounge.

The Hotel provides a cosy, warm and inviting base for walking, climbing, sailing and many other activities, or simply a great place to relax and unwind. We have 15 comfortable bedrooms each with a bath/shower en-suite, colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities, and hair-dryer.
