Beckermet
Beckermet is a village located in Cumbria. It is situated near the coastline that lies between Egremont and Seascale and is serviced by the Braystones railway station. If you look from some of the higher parts of the village you will be able to see the Sellafield Nuclear Plant about two miles away. The village is served by two parish churches one of which contains traces of two castles from medieval times. For those who enjoy medieval history, you will want to take out of your trip to visit these areas and get some idea of what is part of the history of Beckermet. For those who want to partake of a beer in the evening, you will find two very nice pubs in Beckermet. You will also find hotels that have an attached pub atmosphere area if you want to find a hotel that allows you the opportunity to drink without having to leave your hotel. There are other accommodations in Beckermet along with shopping areas and other types of entertainment and events. Taking a walk to admire the many spectacular and picturesque views is an option for those who really don’t know what they want to do while they are in Beckermet. Whenever you choose one of the villages in the Lake District you can be sure to find plenty of rich history to learn as well as scenery to view throughout the village. It’s difficult to visit any village and not enjoy just walking among the many facets of nature.
