Barbon
Barbon is a village and that is located in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria and is approximately three miles south of Kirby Lonsdale. Its population during the 2001 census was reported as 263 making it a rather quaint and cozy village compared to some of the larger villages within the Lake District. Being small gives it the advantage of being classified with a homey atmosphere while at the same time having enough accommodations to take care of its own residents as well as any visitors that arrive. Many of the villages within the Lake District are small, some larger than Barbon and some smaller. Taking the time to visit Barbon while you are touring the lake Village is something you want to consider. You will find all of the sleeping accommodations you need as well as places of interest. The view within the village is one of splendor as you view the overlooking mountains and fells that are part of the various lakes within the Lake District. Take the time to take in some of Barbon’s history and choose the sites you find of the most interest. Certainly what you don’t find in Barbon itself you will find in the surrounding villages. When you visit Barbon you will note that it appears to snuggle into Barbon dale. This makes the visitor to Barbon able to see the beauty of many trees and birdlife. It’s difficult not to enjoy being able to view so many things of nature, and Barbon offers you an opportunity to view many of nature’s creations.
